Dr. Rhyne married Elizabeth Ann Geren on June 6, 1965. They have one daughter, Anna Elizabeth Rhyne, and two cats named Minnie and Maggie. Dr. Rhyne likes to travel, read, hike, and study geology. On occasion he has been known to hunt for fossils. He is also Chairperson of the Board of Directors of St. Luke Community Clinic, a free medical clinic for Front Royal and Warren County that this church helped to establish in 1996.

BEVERLY CLARK - BIOGRAPHY

Beverly Clark is a native of Parkersburg, WV, where she studied piano and organ.  Following her graduation from high school, Ms. Clark attended West Virginia University on a music scholarship, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in organ performance.  After graduation, she and her family returned to Parkersburg, WV where she served Saint Paul's Methodist Church and several different churches in the position of Director of Music.  Beverly served as accompanist for the Parkersburg Choral Society from 1968 until moving to Virginia in 1975.

In 1979, Beverly accepted the position of Director of Music at Grace United Methodist Church in Middletown, VA.  Since 1982, she has been Director of Music at Front Royal Presbyterian Church in Front Royal, VA. Beverly earned her M.A. in organ performance at Shenandoah University in 1998, and recently passed the American Guild of Organist Colleague examination.  She has appeared in numerous performances in the region, both solo and ensembles.

 RACHEL CRUMLEY - BIOGRAPHY

At a Congregational Meeting on June 25, 2006, the congregation voted to call Rachel W. Crumley as our Associate Pastor. Rachel was ordained on August 13 at Arbor Dale Presbyterian Church in Banner Elk, NC, and on September 10 she was installed as Associate Pastor of Front Royal Presbyterian Church. Paul and Rachel Crumley are the proud parents of Gibson Anne, age 2, and Isaac Martin, born on October 10, 2006.

Rachel is a graduate of Austin Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas.  She holds a B.A. from Lees-McRae College, Banner Elk, NC in Religious and Interdisciplinary Studies, and also attended Emmanuel School of Religion in Johnson City, TN, before transferring to Austin.

Rachel has been involved in the Presbyterian Church since childhood. She has also worked as an intern while in seminary, and had a variety of experiences working with children, youth, and adult education in the church.

Rachel grew up in Sterling, VA, where her parents still live.  She has fond memories of attending church-related retreats at the Northern Virginia 4H Center as a youth.

Rachel and her family reflect the type of young family that we hope an Associate Pastor will be able to nurture and encourage in the faith.  Her warm, outgoing, and down-to-earth personality, along with her fresh ideas, will help the church in our goal to “grow” in order to live out our mission to continue to spread the Good News here in Front Royal and beyond.
