May
10—Ladies Night Out/Guys Night In, 5pm-8pm. The ladies will head down Main
Street to Hands to
Create to paint pottery and make jewelry. The guys will stay in to
play games and watch movies.
May 17—Canoe Trip! We will meet at the church at 10am. We will head to the
river for a day of
prayer and paddling.
May 18—1-4-12 Meeting at
5:30pm.
May 31-June 1—Camp Paddy Run Kickball Tournament! This is an overnight
camp. Saturday's activities will include swimming, a GPS scavenger hunt,
camp fire and Bible study. Sunday will include breakfast, worship, and
kickball. If you would like to attend, please let us know on or before May
18.

MS WALK THANK YOU!

A huge thank you from Team
Janet for supporting the MS Walk on Saturday, April 19 in Winchester. Team
Janet had 23 outstanding walkers who helped make this the largest and most
successful one yet. Over $6,000 was raised to help find a cure for MS and
to support the programs of the Blue Ridge Chapter of the MS Society. We
should all be proud of our youth and their leaders for this success.
A special thank you goes to Jamie Sullivan, Jimi DiNinno and Rachel
DuMez and Doug and Heidi Rutz who were responsible for raising $2,000+.
Team Janet was also “fortified” with the participation of Brian Sullivan,
Lucas and Debbie DuMez, Rose DiNinno, Daniel and Logan Lehman, as well as
Pastor Rachel, Paul, Gibson and Isaac Crumley.
We were all very pleased and honored to have Bruce and Lora Whearty
participate with us. The team wants to thank the church family for their
support.

Worked with Habitat for
Humanity and Shelter Rock in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.
Thank you to all who donated, purchased, prepared, served, attended, and
supported all the various efforts to raise $4,800 for the endeavor.
The yard sale netted
$674.52 of the total.
